Want to email me a question? First, read this . . .
I am not a qualified scientist. No one pays me to maintain the Hyena Pages, and I have to squeeze in the time spent answering email between other projects.
Before you email me:
- Did you read the Spotted Hyena FAQ? If it's about spotted hyenas, read this first -- particularly if you're asking "Can hyenas change sexes?" or "Can hyenas breed with dogs or cats and produce young?" It's in the FAQ!
- If it's not in the FAQ, check the links here next. Then use a good search engine like Google to dig for more stuff.
- If it's not there, do some research on your own. If there's a university or even a decent library near you, check and see if they have Walker's Mammals of the World or Grzmek's Animal Encyclopedia. If all you have is a small or badly equipped library, ask them if you can borrow those books via interlibrary loan.
- Lastly, if none of these sources has what you're looking for, email me with your question.
